What is Minoxidil?

For the treatment of hair loss, minoxidil is available as a topical solution, which is usually 2% or 5% minoxidil in propylene glycol. The propylene glycol ensures that the applied minoxidil is evenly distributed over the affected area and is easily absorbed through the skin.
