What is MUCUNA DOPA and where does it come from?

MUCUNA DOPA is derived from the extracts of Mucuna pruriens. Its seed pods are about 10 cm long and covered with orange hairs. When these hairs come into contact with the skin, they are known to cause intense itching. What does MUCUNA DOPA do?

Serotonin and dopamine are two neurotransmitters naturally produced in the brain that are involved in regulating mood, appetite and other mental functions. Containing 5-hydroxytryptophan (serotonin) along with high concentrations of levodopa (L-Dopa), a precursor to dopamine, MUCUNA DOPA supports cellular communication in the brain.
