Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. Its total amount is equivalent to about 1 – 1.2 kg. of body mass. Almost all of the calcium is localized in a person’s teeth and bones, and the remainder is found in soft organs such as the liver, stomach, intestines and muscles.

Calcium is essential for everyone, but bodybuilders need to maintain optimal levels of the mineral balance through supplementation. Enzyme activation is important for the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the most important muscle fuel. Calcium also prevents muscle cramps during training or competition.

A deficiency can occur if you do heavy physical labor or exercise in high temperatures, in which case about 100 mg per hour is lost through sweat.

Magnesium is found mostly in the bones of the human body (60-65%), but also in muscles (25%), as well as in other types of cells and body fluids. Like all minerals, magnesium cannot be produced by the human body and must be obtained through food. The human body contains about 20-30 g of magnesium.

Magnesium is involved in bone formation – about two-thirds of the magnesium in the body is found in the bones. Some of the magnesium in the bones helps build their physical structure, as it is found in the skeleton of the bones along with the minerals phosphorus and calcium.

Another benefit of Magnesium, especially for athletes, is that it relaxes nerves and muscles – magnesium and calcium work together to regulate the body’s nerve and muscle tone. In many nerve cells, magnesium serves as a chemical blocker so that calcium cannot reach the nerve cells and activate the nerve.

Method of use: Take 1 dose daily with food (2 capsules).
