L-lysine is an essential amino acid that promotes tissue repair, improves wound healing and helps burn fat for energy. Lysine contributes to the development and maintenance of normal bone structure. L-lysine is necessary for the production of proteins in the body, is important for normal muscle growth and is necessary for the maintenance of structural proteins: collagen and elastin. In addition, L-lysine may help maintain a healthy immune system and proper cardiovascular function.

Lysine may help slow or prevent the growth of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), which is responsible for cold sores.

Method of administration: 1-2 capsules daily with liquid during meals.
