What is the difference between casein and whey protein?

Whey proteins are digested quickly, meaning they reach the muscles quickly, while casein protein behaves a little differently in this regard, as it is slowly broken down in the digestive system. The different way these two fractions are digested and absorbed does not make one better or the other worse. Each of them is needed, but at different times of the day.
