What's behind the formula?

Procapil™ — peptide complex and plant components

Procapil™ combines Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Apigenin and Oleanolic Acid. It is developed by the supplier Croda/Sederma to strengthen the hair attachment and care for the follicle.

In the technical materials, oleanolic acid is associated with 5α-reductase inhibition, apigenin with microcirculation, and the peptide with structures involved in hair attachment. This describes the research and purpose of the complex; it is not a measurement of DHT in users of the finished FOLIGAIN® serum.

Trichogen™ — a comprehensive approach to hair and scalp

Trichogen™ is part of the combination of cosmetic complexes in the formula. Its presence complements the care for a thicker and more vibrant hair appearance, instead of the product relying on just one popular ingredient.

Biotin

Biotin is present in the composition of the product for topical application. Here it is part of the overall formula for hair and scalp. The serum is not a nutritional supplement and does not replace the identification and correction of nutritional deficiencies.

Peptides and plant extracts

Method of use

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it contain minoxidil?

No. This version is with 10% Trioxidil®. It is different from the combined FOLIGAIN® Minoxidil 5% + Trioxidil® 5%.

Is it stronger than 5% minoxidil?

The percentages are not comparable. Trioxidil® is a cosmetic complex, and minoxidil is a medicinal active ingredient.

Do I need to wash it off?

Not right away. This is a leave-in formula that is left on for at least four hours.

Can it be used alone?

It can be a stand-alone cosmetic step. However, the test results shown are for the combined system.

Is it suitable for sensitive scalp?

Individual tolerance varies. The manufacturer recommends a preliminary test on a small area. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Is it for a beard?

The application method described is for the scalp. We do not recommend use on other areas.
